I am a bioinformatician working in systems biology and human genetics. There's a lot going on in those fields and much to be curious about. The Ig Nobel Prize rewards research that makes you laugh and then makes you think. But more generally, from an astute design to the technical prowess of the experimenter, to the surprising results, or to the satisfaction of having bloody nailed it… there's simply a lot to marvel at. Hopefully these pages will reflect this.
